Responsibilities
  • Assist with firefighting and emergency response activities, including fire suppression, prevention, and investigation.
  • Participate in training sessions and drills to develop and maintain necessary skills.
  • Collaborate with CAL FIRE staff to support administrative and technical duties.
  • Attend meetings and conferences related to emergency response and wildfire management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to CAL FIRE operations.
Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university program with a focus on forestry, fire science, emergency management, or a related field.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices of wildfire management is preferred.
